Young men aged 16 - 25 from across Scotland are being invited to enter the StreetGames Football Pools Fives National Scottish Festival, a nationwide five-a-side tournament for youth teams.

Hosted in Glasgow on 13 July, the free day event - delivered by StreetGames in partnership with Youth Scotland, A+M Training and supported by The Football Pools - aims to get young men active and participating in team sports. Winners of the competition will be entered into the UK finals at the national football centre, St George's Park.

As well as the five-a-side tournament, participants can also get involved with basketball, tennis, boxing and dance through a range of workshops and sessions.

Lois Marshall, Youth Active Development Worker at Youth Scotland said: "This is an amazing way for youth teams to show off their footie skills and win the opportunity to play in the UK finals at St George's Park. We're looking for teams from across Scotland, and there's every chance that this year's five-a-side winners could be from your local area.

"Even if groups haven't played together before, they're welcome to enter the competition as we aren't looking for professional teams. So round up your friends and get signed up!"

The closing date for entry is 11 July, and teams can enter the tournament via the StreetGames website: www.streetgames.org/scotlandfives
