Toolkits

A variety of toolkits are available to accompany the programmes and activities young people are undertaking as part of Youth Achievement Awards.

A great strength of Youth Achievement Awardsis that they offer an open framework for accreditation.  This means that they do not come with 'must-do' worksheets or prescribed challenges for learners to complete.  Anything can be accredited, as long as:

  • a Plan-Do-Review process has been applied;
  • the correct level of responsibility for the Award has been taken; and
  • evidence has been gathered to demonstrate both of the above

Learners should be responsible for selecting appropriate challenges for themselves, as well as taking a lead on the content of those challenges.  However, we can provide you with a number of toolkits and project ideas to help you as you look for activities, ideas, example sheets or simply more detailed information on a specific topic area.

All toolkits are available to purchase through Youth Scotland. Please order toolkits using the Materials Order Form.
