About Daniel
Daniel is from and based on the Isle of Skye and is a Development Worker for the Young Islanders Network. His background is in performance and theatre and as well as acting, directing and writing shows. He spent many years undertaking community outreach work in that sector, much of which was based in school, with groups focused on young people and in other educational settings.
Most recently, he completed a project with Creative Scotland’s culture collective, where he worked with his local community to explore the messages of Iomairt an Eilein, a campaign group made up of young people on Skye who were worried about their island’s future. He also works as a reporter for the West Highland Free Press, covering sport and community events – both of which he enjoys in his spare time, alongside theatre and music.
