About Mike
Mike is Youth Scotland’s Chief Executive with 20 years’ experience in youth development, outdoor learning and experiential education. Mike joins us from Venture Trust, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Interim Chief Executive, previously The Prince’s Trust and Fairbridge supporting inner city young people. A graduate of the University of Strathclyde in Outdoor Education in the Community, Mike was appointed Youth Scotland’s Chief Executive in 2022 and says that Youth Scotland is in a genuinely exciting space, working with young people and youth workers who are part of shaping our future and the modern workforce. Mike loves travel and is a busy outdoor dad – reliably telling us that his favourite mode of transport is canoe.
