Skills Sessions
Sessions supported young people to explore their key skills, develop a positive work mindset, and learn about career pathways, the workplace and applying for jobs.
The sessions took place at Youth Scotland, and ran two days a week for six weeks.
Mentoring
Young people were given 8 sessions of one to one mentor support to help them create a personal work profile, build a professional relationship, and set goals for the future.
Dates, times and locations were organised between the mentors and participants.
Work Experience
Young people attended work insight days and a work placement to exercise new skills and build confidence. This was paid at the National Living Wage.
Placements lasted for four weeks, full time (up to 35 hours depending on the placement) and were based in different departments of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
