How to get involved
Achievement Generators builds on the recognised value of non-formal awards for young people and aims to build a grassroots movement to raise attainment.
Become an Achievement Generator
As an Achievement Generator, you’ll have an opportunity to undertake a structured training programme and gain the skills to plan, deliver and accredit activities with children and young people in a youth, community or afterschool setting. Training will include practical introduction to youth work, youth participation, physical activity and creative themed workshops. You will learn new skills and get lots of practical resources to take away and use in your delivery.
Become an Achievement Generator Host Group
As a Host Group, you will provide the opportunity for an Achievement Generator to deliver and accredit activities with the children and young people in your group. They will deliver regular sessions over several months and support the children and young people within your group to gain a recognised Youth Scotland Youth Award. Your other staff/volunteers will also be encouraged to shadow the Achievement Generator and learn how to accredit activities using Youth Scotland’s youth awards.
