Are you ready for the Young Islander’s Challenge?
If you are a young person living in one of Scotland’s island communities – we want to hear from you!
Working in partnership with the Scottish Government and the National Islands Plan, we want to understand what it’s like to live and grow up in our island communities from the people who know best – you!
We want to know your views on topics that matter to your life like:
- What are the issues that affect your life?
- What is good about your island community?
- What could be better about your island community?
- What would you change if you could?
- What would you like to see the Young Islander’s Network do and/or achieve?
In addition to understanding young people’s views, we are going to provide training and support to young people and will work with young people and community-based youth groups to establish a Young Islander’s Network.
All participants will complete a cool challenge sheet (like the preview above) so we can capture views, opinions and suggestions and even gain one of our accredited Hi5 Awards if desired!
At this stage, we are opening for pre-registration to the project and will get things really moving early 2021. If this all sounds like you or young people you work with, check out the link below and pre-register to take part – it's even FREE!
