Senior Development Worker (Young Islanders Network)

Youth Scotland, Scotland’s national charity for the support and delivery of community-based youth work, would love you to come and join our dynamic team

Salary Scale: £33,834 - £35,689
Hours Of Work: Offered as 35 hours per week but flexible work can be discussed
Contract: Initial fixed-term 12-month contract (subject to further funding being confirmed this may be extended up to 36 months)
Location: Home-based within the Scottish Islands with some travel 

We are looking for an experienced worker who has great skills in engaging young people on the Scottish Islands and the passion to help develop a Young Islanders Network. 

The purpose of the Senior Development Worker role is to lead the development of the Young Islanders Network, providing opportunities for young people in the Scottish Islands to share their experiences, have their voices heard, shape decision making about issues that impact their lives and ensure that the National Islands Plan fully considers their interests and priorities.
